Final thesis reflection
Having the responsibilities that come with senior thesis have helped me gain the experience needed to work as a designer post-graduation. The most rewarding aspect of this was bettering my time management skills. In an educational setting, I took the role of lead designer for Musco Center for the Arts and was responsible for all design decisions, as well as deadlines. Throughout the course of the year, I saw the methods used to manage my time continuously improving. I am very proud of what I have accomplished.

I am so thankful for the support that many were willing to give. Forcing myself not to take advantage of their kindness, I learned when to ask for help. In other words, I pushed myself to spend a few more minutes to solve the problem on my own. In this time, I learned so much.

That being said, thesis as a course at Penn State was lacking in educational support. My thesis studies reflect what I have learned over the course of my time at university, but a huge opportunity for research and exploration was lost due to a lack of communication of advisers and professors.

Using this CPEP site as an interface was a very rewarding experience. Posting my work publically online caused me to view it in a different light. It was a great exercise in user-interface design, as well.
